RSF names Emilie Boulay as head of communications and fund-raising
Reporters Without Borders (RSF) is pleased to announce that Emilie Boulay has been appointed as director of communications and fund-raising with effect from 13 February.
Reporting to RSF’s senior management, Boulay is responsible for defining, managing and implementing a communications strategy that enables RSF to increase its visibility and funding.
She previously held the position of director of communications, marketing and digital publication at Crédit Municipal in Paris, where she was given the important task of modernizing its image and communications strategy.
A graduate of the Institute of Political Studies in Aix-en-Provence and the School for Advanced Information and Communications Studies (CELSA), she began her career as a journalist in Morocco before spending eight years in various positions in communications at Air France-KLM, including heading communications in Europe and North Africa, launching a training communications strategy and managing its social networks.
“Emilie Boulay is a communications professional with a great deal of digital expertise,” RSF secretary-general Christophe Deloire said. “We are delighted that she has decided to place her experience and skills in the service of defending media freedom by joining RSF.”
RSF is a Paris-based NGO that has defended the freedom to receive and impart news and information for 30 years. Thanks to its experience and its support in the field, RSF is able to defend and promote media freedom throughout the world.
