Ann Marie Lipinski


Ann Marie Lipinski is curator of the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard University, where she oversees an international fellowship for journalists and a portfolio of publications and programming to strengthen journalism. She previously served as editor in chief and senior vice president of the Chicago Tribune, where she won a Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Journalism. She is past co-chair of the Pulitzer Prize Board, where she served as a member for three terms. She was vice president for civic engagement and senior lecturer at the University of Chicago. She holds a bachelor’s degree in American studies from the University of Michigan and was awarded the Nieman Fellowship for Journalists at Harvard. She was elected to the American Academy of Arts & Sciences and is a trustee of the Poynter Institute
